The Restaurant and Bar are open daily with food service from 12:30 to 21:00 Sunday to Thursday, and until 22.00hrs Friday and Saturday and throughout the Summertime.

Executive Head Chef Steve Golding has created and eclectic mix of modern British classics, further enhanced with a selection of his seasonal signature dishes that have been designed from years of experience as the Executive Chef for Royal Ascot and his connections with well know famous Chefs. Golding has recently taken the helm at this iconic Bournemouth Restaurant after nearly 20 years working at the world renowned Royal Ascot racecourse, where he was responsible for the day-to-day running and menu creation off all dining outlets, including 31 kitchens and 60 Chefs. In addition to Ascot, Golding was also Executive Chef at Epsom, Haystack, Sandhurst and Aintree racecourses catering for high-profile events and functions in the various restaurants year around. The Cumberland Hotel and Ventana Grand Café are extremely proud to have such a renowned, passionate and experienced Chef pushing the boundaries to drive his team and venue to become known as the best foody restaurant in the local area.

All the food on our menu is seasonal, locally sourced premium produce and where possible sustainable and delivered daily. Our fantastic Dorset Cheese Trolley stocks delights from the finest Artisan cheese makers in the British Isles. Crab, Scallops, Fish and meat are from Dorset along with locally cured Charcuterie. Alongside the main menu, we also serve award-winning afternoon teas, Costa Coffee and a selection of unique Snacks in the opulent Bar and Lounge areas. Our cellar stocks an enviable selection of wine; each can be carefully paired with dishes on the menu by our skilled team to enhance your dining experience.

During the Summer months, our large Miami style Lido deck with swimming pool and loungers is the place to be! Home to Poolside Disco Fever, every Sunday when the Sun is Shining, with DJ Alan Mather spinning the sounds of Disco Era, over 18’s only. Delicious cocktails, cold beverages, and snacks are served poolside throughout the Summer, great for chilling out with friends and soaking up the rays. Please note the swimming pool is open to non-residents, over 14 years of age when drinking or eating in Ventana.

The winter months are simply magical, with an open fire and sumptuous sofas providing a candlelit haven for those cold days and nights. The Festive Season is just awesome with thousands of lights and contemporary decorations providing an atmospheric wonderland to enjoy top class seasonal food and wine.
