Cumberland Awarded Best Medium/Large Hotel 2013
The Cumberland has once again been awarded the coveted ‘Best Medium/Large Hotel’ at this year’s Bournemouth Tourism Awards.
The announcement came on Thursday evening as key members of Bournemouth’s tourism and leisure industry assembled to celebrate their successes over the past year.
The efforts of the team and the hotel’s visionary on site director Kevin Wood were recognised along with several of the town’s finest establishments.
The evening was packed with amazing entertainment from Britten’s Got Talent stars ‘Hoop La La’.
The Cumberland, who are firm believers is customer focused service, quality fresh food and a variety of facilities have grown their strong reputation both locally and nationally over the past eight years of ownership. This is now the second time the art deco gem has been granted this accolade with many advancements being made since 2011.

The Cumberland is Bournemouth & Poole’s highest rated three star hotel with a current score of 88% a level of standard is rare, especially when many of other local hotels are now self-appointed and no longer rated by any approved reputable body such as the AA.
With many hotels locally now aiming deliberately towards the budget sector of the market the Cumberland stands out as being something very different, not just in style but also in the quality of the bedrooms, public areas. Whilst offering fantastic value due to having shared facilities with its adjacent associate properties making up the Oceana resort.
