New artefact from shipwreck raised from depths

Anyone with an interest in history whilst on their seaside holiday will be fascinated by a new artefact, dredged up from the depths of the sea just off Poole. The history of a 17th Century shipwreck, the Swash Channel Wreck, is closer to being revealed now that a 27ft rudder has been raised from the seabed. Weighing 4 tonnes, it adds to the more than 1000 artefacts that have been retrieved from the sunken vessel.
